Hello everyone,

Mausoleum of Khoja Ahmed Yasawi (Kazakhstan) will be discussed during the UNESCO World Heritage Committee Meeting this year. This site was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage list in 2003.

Again, development pressure on the protection of the heritage site...however, the Kazakhstan's grand plan, called Caravanserai project, described as Central Asia’s largest tourism complex is quite shocking, as it contains a 'flying theater', an amphitheater, a big market, hotels, restaurants, etc. Hope the revised master plan would seriously consider OUV of the site and fully respect its landscape. What a pity that the reactive monitoring cannot be conducted as soon as possible due to this pandemic-!!
